Consultancy

With many years in the electrical industry we are able to provide consultancy services to trade and industry. Whether it be supply calculations, design, electrical specification or energy saving options looking at initial cost versus savings over time and more.

Without offering the installation works we can provide tailored solutions to main building contractors, businesses and even retailers looking for the right products to sell and market. For many years we have worked behind the scenes in the hotel industry writing detailed specifications and drawings for tender.

If your energy bills are high and are looking to cut costs without the hefty fees of using a consultant and furthermore an electrical contractor then our fees are free of charge upon approval of quotation when using JH electrical in this context.

Testing

As an NAPIT registered contractor we are regulated to ensure we conform to all relevant standards within the electrical industry. We are approved by UKAS and are on the electrical safety register.

The biggest part of electrical safety is things that cannot be seen by the untrained eye and this can sometimes make it hard to pay out for testing an installation that theoretically works.

JH Electrical can assure the you of the highest standards of integrity when carrying out this task. We are here to provide high standard reports and impartial recommendations.

All of our reports come with visual aids (images) as information on how we came to gather our report.

Our testing is not limited to fixed wiring. We carry out fire alarm servicing, emergency lighting testing, PAT testing, CCTV servicing, access control servicing, thermal imaging and more.

Access Control

JH Electrical provide access control services to BS EN 50133

Installation

JH electrical can install access systems from a stand alone single door entry keypad kit to a multi user multi door networked system.

Access can be by Card, Fob, PIN code or both for high security areas. Flexible programming provides complete control over access to your premises. Systems can be designed with DDA in mind and all sytems can include emergency break glass units ensuring easy emergency evacuation. Integration with existing Fire Alarm, intruder, BMS and CCTV Systems may also be possible.

We also install door entry intercom systems from one door to a multi floor flat system.

We usually prefer to use Paxton products as part of a new installation. As a registered installer of theirs we can provide guarantees on products as every control unit we install will be registered with the manufacturer.

Maintenance

JH electrical can check your system on a regular basis to make sure everything is intact and working as it should. We can check door magnets for their strength, make sure interlocks are working okay and have not been over-ridden. We also make sure charging voltages are okay and that battery voltages havent dropped.

We will issue a certificate with the necessary checks stated.

What system for me?

Consider how many persons are to use the system. Would you need individual or one site PIN code? How many doors will need to be included on the system? Access areas can be set up so what access rights will people require? How will you control the issue of Cards or Fobs as although these are long lasting there is a cost to replace them if lost or stolen. Do you need to consider access for disabled staff or visitors?
